NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE American Farrier's Association Establishes Relief Fund to Aid Farriers Affected by Hurricane Katrina Sunday, September 4, 2005 (Lexington, Kentucky) The American Farrier's Association (AFA) today announced the creation of a Farrier Relief Fund to help fellow AFA farriers with the recovery and rebuilding efforts that are to follow from Hurricane Katrina. These funds will be used to benefit AFA members affected by this catastrophic disaster and future similar disasters. The American Farrier?s Association, under the leadership of its Finance Committee, will determine where and how the funds will best be utilized. "The American Farrier's Association and the farrier industry are saddened by the tragic loss of life and destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina," said Craig Trnka, CJF, and AFA president. "Farriers have a reputation of standing by and up for our fellow farriers and are committed to helping our fellow farriers in this time of need. We ask AFA farriers, chapters, supporters and sponsors to consider making contributions to this very worthwhile initiative."
